 To mark the club's 25th anniversary we intend to have a variety of events throughout the year. Some will be new events and some will be existing events that we'd like to add a little something extra to.
Here is a provisional timetable of things as they stand at the moment. Some dates may need to be changed slightly depending on race clashes etc. and some other events are likely to be added.
Details of what to expect from each of the entries will be posted as soon as enough information is available.
We hope that many members, friends and guests take part to make our silver jubilee year a major success.
March 21 - Cycle outing to St. Andrews.

April 21st - Spring Handicap
Well done to Steven Peters who had a great run to win this years event. Also to Barbara Brown who was first lady back. You can see the results here. Pics are here.
Great that so many people mannaged back to the Ancrum Arms for the presentation. Just as well when we saw the volume of sandwiches Alec had prepared for us.
May 12 - John McInally Race
Well done to Dave Stewart with a winning time of 44.18 and to 1st lady, Sarah Cullen, with a time of 47.24. Twenty three runners took part and you can see all the results here.
Thanks to Angela who organised the "picnic" Although a bit shivery, it proved to be a real success with mountains of food. Thanks for everyones contributions.
Thanks to Lorraine and Jaqui for their "sweeper" role. I'm sure the back markers and everyone else appreciated your efforts.

June 21 - Dundee 1/2 Club Championships?
With the route and other details uncertain for the proposed alternative 1/2 marathon, it has been decided to contest this years championship by the previous method of members submitting their best time for the current season where the fastest time will be this years champ.
June 21 - Barbeque/Picnic Run
A fine run along part of the old Newtile railway line, followed by a meandering route back to Andy's, followed by baked tatties and an enormous table of food, made this a grand day out to remember.

June 23 - Twin Peaks
24 runners completed the course with the added point of Lochee Leisure Centre, the clubs first meeting point, added for this year.
Special thanks to Bill Fenwick and co. who manned the top of the Law, Ross Hanlon and Amy Gunning who were at the observatory and Angela McDonald and Ursula Ryder at Lochee. Without your help there would be no race!
Prizes etc. were in the Snug where we all had a splendid evening.

July 3 - White Tops
This years race was won by Dan Whitehead from Cosmics. Great to see him drive all the way down, for the second year in a row, from Banchory. Ladies winner was Veronique Oldham also of Cosmics with Ricky Davidson and Katherine Lawlor picking up the DRR club awards.
The excelent bun fight afterwards was enhanced with 25th anniversary cakes, some personalised, baked by Angela and Ash. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make the race a success
July 19 - Everest The Gerard Way (canceled)
After a lot of deliberation concerning the logistics plus the fact that there would seem to be a fair number away on holiday, we've decided to cancel this event and replace it with the one below.
We still hope to do some sort of Everest challenge using the Law but just what will need to be organised at a later date.
July 19 - Forest/Trail Run at Dunkeld
We'll meet up at one of the car parks in Dunkeld (it would probably be a good idea to share transport) and then set off on various distance routes. There will likely be a walking group for those who don't want to or can't run and may be a biking group if anyone is interested in that.
On the way home we intend to stop off for some eats for those who want to do that.

August 16 Forfar 10K Club Championships
Forfar Roadrunners, who also celebrate 25 years this year, have asked us along to their BBQ at Forfar Rugby Club post race. We intend to present the club 10k champion trophies at this venue so we hope to see everyong along for a bit after the race for this event.
August 20 - Club Hill Race
Auchterhouse, 6.30 start
August 22 - BBQ
From 2.00 untill 8.00 and incorporating a fun mini duathlon (bike and run). We have hired the marque in case of bad weather and barbeques will be provided along with cups plates etc. but you bring your own food and drink. We'll have live music from the unknown band and maybe some fun activities thrown in. This year to help us celibrate out 25th we're going to send an invitation to the local clubs to come along ang join in the days activities.
September 10 Autumn Handicap
Meet Camperdown main gate 6.15 for a 6.30 start
We'll most likely repeat the prizegiving at the Ancrum Arms in Lochee
September 18 - 25 years of Roadrunners Book Launch
This will be in Lochee Library, which is part of the Lochee Leisure Centre building, on the evening of Friday Sept 18. Time to still be confirmed.
Started by Wilma and Linda and finally brought together by Andy, the book looks back through the club's years.
We hope to have a lot of past members turn up as well as our current ones. There will also be a display of some memorobilia and a "cheese and wine" refreshment to acompany the event.
September 19 - Fun Adventure Race (Note change of date)
Based at Ash and Robs in Auchterhouse there will be an adventure style race in the Sidlaws followed by a BBQ in the garden.
October 11 - Car Rally Treasuer Hunt
We'll meet up at one of the local eating houses that have a large car park where we will go for eats and drinks afterward.
Teams of up to four can be entered and the will have to drive around the area finding clues, collecting information and gathering objects.

November 1 - Club 10 mile race
November 28 - Club Dance
Decenber 15 Reindeer Roundup.
